An FBI agent, a Boston police detective, a reluctant Soviet spy, an idealistic nuclear physicist, and Joe McCarthy's daughter are all inextricably intertwined in this film-noir spoof of "marriage and other exploding devices." The year is 1952. 'I Love Lucy' rules the airwaves and McCarthyism is at its zenith. As the hunt for a serial killer threatens to veer out of control, Detective Maggie Pelletier tries to salvage her career and her love life. Instead, she finds herself in a bizarre race against time in which three couples navigate the rocky road of love against the backdrop of Cold War espionage.
