Red Death Masquerade
January 27 (9 PM - 2 AM)

A modern take on the traditional Masquerade Ball (Masks are NOT optional... No mask, no entry!). Featuring fantastic DJs, Author Liisa Ladouceur (Encyclopedia Gothica) and loads of prizes including a $100 prize for the most enticing costume. Tickets available in advance for 10 dollars or 15 dollars at the door (price includes entry for Day Two as well). Limited number of tickets available so get yours quickly! This is a 19+ event so please bring your ID.

Liisa Ladouceur

Liisa Ladouceur is a music and unpopular culture journalist, a poet, and a Goth. She has examined the subculture for various publications, has been called upon as a recognized Goth expert for television like MuchMusic, CTV, TVO, and Newsworld, and hosted the sold-out Gothic Toronto literary event for the Luminato Festival. She is currently known as the Blood Spattered Guide music columnist for Rue Morgue magazine, the world's leading publication on horror in art and culture, and also can be heard weekly on the all-horror podcast Rue Morgue Radio. She lives in Toronto, ON.

DJ Th'Elf

From private parties to clubs to festivals, Toronto's Th'Elf has been spinning across Canada and the US for nearly 30 years. Mixing tradgoth, industrial, ebm and more into a coherent set, he's completely focused on the dancefloor energy and bringing the best blend of sounds to whatever event he's playing. A very approachable DJ, Th'Elf always welcomes requests.

DJ Reverie

DJ Reverie is an Alternative Electronic DJ from Ottawa. He is a Death Disco resident DJ performing every fourth Saturday of the month, publishes a bi-weekly podcast called Positronic Radio, hosts a new not-yet-regularly scheduled radio show Future Pop on CKCU 93.1 FM and is the President of the Ottawa Goth Syndicate.

The Aftermath

Ottawa may not have a variety of alternative shops to peruse, so the OGS is bringing the shopping to you. Showcasing local, national and even international talent, you will find everything your little black heart desires! Fashion, Accessories, Art, Music, Magazines and so much more! If you attended Red Death Masquerade, your admission is free (with proof of attendance). Couldn't make it to the Masquerade but love a good shopping excursion? Admission is a mere $2! That leaves you lots of dough to shop with. Support your scene, and all the talent there-in!
