Ready! Set! Go! Back by popular demand, Red Bull Soapbox Race will screech into Atlanta for a pit stop Saturday, June 9, 2012. Featuring some of the wildest legal street racing around, the Red Bull Soapbox Race is a fun-filled day of gasps, laughs and cheers where participants design, build and attempt to race their human-powered carts. Like the 2009 Red Bull Soapbox Race, the race runs down 10th Street in Midtown but drivers are in for surprises on the freshly designed course with new turns and jumps. Celebrity judges and scorekeepers will evaluate each of the approximately 40 teams for creativity, showmanship and speed. Teams can enter their engineering marvels and crazy concepts with a formal application found at www.redbullsoapboxrace.com, but don’t delay as applications MUST be submitted by Monday, April 16.
