Flickertail Holler was started in December of 2010 after three would-be friends discovered they all shared the same love and passion for bluegrass music. The name, "Flickertail Holler", came from their desire to honor both states where they were taught music. North Dakota is known as the 'Flickertail' state while a 'Holler' (slang for 'Hollow') is a small valley located between mountains. Very prominent in Kentucky. Together, they continuously strive to find new sounds to add to their ever expanding repertoire.
