Recycling Fun: Toy Swap & Drop Off November 15, 2011

A local "Toy Swap/Drop Off" to get residents involved, and to promote the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) through messages brought by the participants and the fun, educational games we will create.

Toys dropped off will benefit Brevard kids through "4 The Kids of Brevard" organization.

Brevard County Parks & Recreation is co-sponsoring the event and will have a table at the pavilion.

Brevard County will be participating with information on what can be recycled/days of collection and will bring sign-up sheets for recycle bin requests and for landfill tours as well; "4 The Kids of Brevard" will be present to take the toys dropped off at the event; Suntree/Viera Public Library will bring some material to share and will be collecting books/magazines/DVDs to add to our local library; the Brevard Zoo Green Team will come to share information; the BCC Melbourne Environmental Club will also bring information to share; Pelly the pelican (Keep Brevard Beautiful's mascot) and RC, Brevard's Recycle Cat will be there to greet everyone.

Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle!

Parents and children from the community are welcome to come by to swap their toys or donate unwanted, gently used toys to kids in need through "4 The Kids of Brevard" during this FREE event.

At the event we will also have a collection station for various Terracycle Brigades that Recycle Brevard! is participating in. If you would like to help upcycle items that are not normally recycled, you can bring them to our collection station.
