A collection of special values, titled RECESSION RELIEF RETURNS TO LAGO, is offered by the popular Santa Monica restaurant, comprised of "BYOB Mondays,” "ALL-NIGHT HAPPY HOUR Tuesdays," "WINE ½ OFF Wednesdays," "$8 PIZZAS and $20 PITCHERS Thursdays" and a "STIMULUS PACKAGE" with a Three-Course Dinner ($29) and Two-Course Lunch ($15).
BYOB Mondays features no corkage charge for guests bringing in their own bottles of wine.
ALL-NIGHT HAPPY HOUR Tuesdays offers Happy Hour pricing all night long at the bar, including $3 beers (imported and domestic) and specialty cocktails and martinis for $8 (regularly priced $12 to $14). Premium wines, including a nice selection from Italy and California, are $8, and house red, white and sparkling wines are $4. The half-price menu selections include appetizers, greens, salads, soups, pizzas and sandwiches ranging from $3.50 to $8.00.
WINE ½ OFF Wednesdays features half off selected bottled wines from Lago's award-winning wine list, which received Wine Spectator's prestigious Award of Excellence in 2009 for the 15th consecutive year.
$8 PIZZAS AND $20 PITCHERS Thursdays includes $20 for pitchers of Mojitos (Fresh Mint, Lime, Rum, Sugar, Soda), which are regularly $10 per cocktail, and also these specialties from Lago's Artisanal Cocktails menu, regularly $28 per pitcher: Meyer Limonata (Meyer Lemon, Açaí Berry Veev Liqueur, Prosecco); Market Margarita (Oro Blanco Grapefruit, Tangello, Lime, 4 Copas Tequila); Mai Tai Bazaar (Navel Orange, Lime, Oro Blanco Grapefruit, Pineapple,
Rum). All pizzas on the menu, regularly $13 to $16, are priced at $8.
