“I'm a big supporter of independent film and Rebelfest is doing a great thing for the indie scene.”
-- Michael Madsen, Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill (recipient of the 2005 Rebelfest Innaugural Rebel Award, presented by Harvey Keitel)

REBELFEST is a non-profit festival, a showcase for truly independent films that have received no government funding, and have not been produced through the established film institutes or film centres. As the larger festivals become increasingly Hollywood-friendly, important new artists are overlooked as influence and old allegiances continue to be served. The creation of a new selection committee every year enables REBELFEST to stay on the cutting edge.

REBELFEST is the next wave in Film Festivals.
No more entrenched selectors – every year a new selection committee composed of active filmmakers from around the world. Imagine that!

New eyes mean new ideas, keeping REBELFEST current and connected.

REBELFEST......an exciting venue for filmmakers and filmgoers alike.
