Reading is fun.Its even more fun with a BUDDY! Reading Buddies is a program that pairs novice readers in second and third grade with an older student to practice and reinforce newly gained reading skills. Buddies will meet once a week for five weeks in the library. Learning any new skill takes practice, and that is especially true of reading.This program is open to 2nd and 3rd grade students with NSLD library cards. Only a limited number of children can be accepted. Please be sure you can commit to the entire five-week program. Our Big Buddies are matched one to one with each child and volunteer their time to help your child.
