The Reading Art Book Club (RABC) is dedicated to exploring the connections between art and literature by reading and discussing books. As much as possible, books selected will relate, echo, or enhance the museums varied exhibitions.

Meetings are at 2:30 the second Wednesday of every month at the Museum of Art.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday, November 12th. This months selection is Lydia Cassatt: Reading the Morning Paper by Harriet Scott Chessman. This historical novel portrays the vibrant art scene of late nineteenth century Paris, and the relationship between Mary Cassatt, her sister Lydia, and several Impressionist painters. This book is readily available at the Branigan Library, or through Inter-Library loan.

Time permitting, we will have the opportunity to view the DVD Great Women Artists: Mary Cassatt

New members are always welcome.
