Reading Armed Forces Day June 28, 2009

Come and join us in the beautiful surroundings of the Forbury Gardens as Reading marks Armed Forces Day. Enjoy performances from the The Band of the Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, the Salvation Army Band and Diane James' tribute to Dame Vera Lynn. We will be joined by representatives of the REME Garrison (Arborfield) and HQ Company 7 Rifles and variety of associations and charities who will host information and fundraising stands.

There will be plenty of activities on offer for children too.

The Forbury Gardens are located in the town centre and so easily accessible by bus.

Nearest car parks are located at Hills Meadow (off George Street), Reading Station Car Park and Queens Road Car Park.

The event is free and open to all.
