What's a re-PLUS 2009? Our previous format of several days in a huge convention center with lots of classes, vendors and fancy presentations doesn't hardly work in a tight economy. We listened, retrenched and reformatted the event. It's now just one day at a downtown Louisville hotel with classes and presentations sandwiched between two evenings of socializing. We also made it FREE (well, except for the evening activities away from the hotel.)
A "pre-event" activity includes a Friday night riverboat cruise on the Belle of Louisville. You're certainly not required to attend but it should be fun and it's a great way to meet other serious Christmas decorators. Assuming the weather is nice, we're meeting at the dock (Fourth Street Wharf on the Ohio River and right behind the Galt House hotel) at 6:30pm. You'll pay at the dock. $17 adult, $16 for seniors, (60 ), $9 for children (3-12) or free for the nreally small ones (2 and younger). Food and beverage are sold separately on board ship. We'll be back at the dock by 9:00pm. If the weather is bad, look for us gathering in the lobby of the Hyatt for a quiet evening.
PlanetChristmas Lights Up Symposium (re-PLUS) classes begin at 10:00 Saturday morning in the Hyatt Regency in Louisville located at 320 West Jefferson Street, Louisville, 40202. Look for our meeting room just off the lobby in the Hyatt (look for the signs). We should be done by 5:30pm. This is a free event.

Saturday evening we'll walk half a block to Fourth Street Live and just enjoy the time in a very relaxed environment. There are numerous eating and entertaining establishments. You're free to be on your own or hang out with the Christmas fanatics.
