The Ray Vega Quintet performs original material by Bronx-born trumpeter Ray Vega and colorful works by the great masters of jazz, from Louis Armstrong to Chick Corea.He is a veteran of the salsa and Latin jazz bands of Tito Puente, Ray Barretto, Mongo Santamaria, Hector LaVoe, and Louie Ramirez. Vega has established himself as one of the innovators of the new generation of Latin jazz players with his own fiery brand of New York Latin Jazz.
