Give a gift to the Bay this holiday season!  Planting native seedlings during the winter significantly increases a plant’s chances of survival since it will receive plenty of water from the rain and can better establish itself without being burned by the sun. This winter our goal is to plant 25,000 native plants at several wetland sites throughout the Bay, including Ravenswood Pond. Volunteers will plant natives such as alkali heath and sea lavender to make way for a healthy Bay.

Due to the sensitive nature of the restoration site, space is limited and RSVP is requested. If you have filled out a form on one of our partner websites it does not mean that you will be included in our event. You must sign up on Save The Bay's website at www.savesfbay.org/volunteer. Please follow this link to our online registration form to register yourself or a group of 9 people or less.

If you need more information about this or other events or if you would like to sign up a group larger than 9 people please contact Natalie LaVan at (510) 452-9261 x109 or email [email protected].

No experience necessary. Gloves, tools and instruction provided. Each event is led by Save The Bay staff certified in CPR and Wilderness First Aid and all site projects have been planned to ensure safety.

If you would like to schedule a private restoration program for your community group or employee team, visit www.saveSFbay.org/corporate-and-group-programs. If you are interested in scheduling a school restoration program, visit: www.saveSFbay.org/environmental-education.
