Dr. Ralph is a three time grammy winner, and a pioneer of bluegrass music. Both his vocal style and his banjo playing have had major impacts on folk and country music as well as bluegrass.
His career has spanned the past 60 years. That career received a major boost in 2000 from his chilling performance of "O Death" in the popular movie, "O Brother Where Art Thou?" as well as the multi-platinum sountrack. He was also the featured performer in the subsequent tour "Down From The Mountain" which included Emmylou Harris and Alison Krauss.
