International pressures along with pressures from human rights and civic groups from within Iran have forced Ahmadinejad’s government to admit the death of 69 Iranians: peaceful protesters and activists of non-violent civil rights movement. Yet, both international and domestic human rights groups in Iran have listed with name, age, date, place and circumstance of death a much larger number of such killings in Iran, some shot or beaten to death while protesting in streets and more than half killed while incarcerated after having been subjected to severe, medieval physical and psychological torture.

Ahmadinejad’s government has also admitted the arrest of 4000 Iranians during the first few days of the peaceful protests in Tehran and claims 3700 of these have been release but still the fate of many “disappeared” persons per reports from Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch.

We gather once again to do so to object to flagrant violation of human rights as well as infringement and negation of all civil rights and will continue to do so until the Iranian regime complies with international norms, laws and standards including those of human rights, Geneva Convention, women and children rights, labor laws as well as those governing diplomatic and international relations.
