Join us for an evening of education and interaction around the critical topic of "Raising A Million Dollars In This Economy". We are not talking about the status quo of feedback on writing a business plan, networking with everyone you can get a meeting with and then pitching all of the standard funds in town, but rather about how the vast majority of Oregon and Washington start ups actually get funded.

We will have a panel of four local start up founders including:
- Brent Hieggelke (CEO of Second Porch)
- Ken Westin (CEO of ActiveTrak Inc.)
- Kevin DeWhitt (Founder of Agilyx) and
- John Friess (CEO of journey gym)

These founders have each raised between $600K and $9M for their Oregon start ups in the past couple of years. They have raised these funds through their founding team, angel investors, angel funds and VCs. The whole gamut is covered here, but more importantly their candid feedback on what worked well and consistently will surprise you. All of them agree the secret is often something out of your control unless you can create it.

So, if you are looking to better learn about how these four local start ups raised their funding, how long it took, who provided it, what were the terms, what worked well, what their valuations were, where they found their angels, what due diligence cycles were like, etc., then this event is for you.

This event is open to the public and as always this event is free and dinner will be provided. We will start the event at 6:00pm with food and networking and then the educational portion will begin at 6:30pm.
