Raingardens for the Home Landscape September 17, 2011

Raingardens are a relatively recent concept for helping the environment through reducing the amount of storm water runoff and its impact upon streams and rivers. This class will focus upon some of the technical aspects of how to properly size a Raingarden, as well as the artistic aspects of how to design this as an attractive water feature for the garden and thoughts on the types of plants and how to properly incorporate them into the design. We shall tour the new Raingarden at Rutgers Gardens at the end of class, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
