Renowned American Buddhist monk Venerable Sumati Marut will give talks focusing on the Tibetan Buddhist techniques known as lojong, which literally means “mind training.” In Tibet the place of the mind is considered to be at the heart. A less literal but more awakened translation for lojong is “developing the good heart.” Lojong transforms our anger into an unconquerable force of love. We emerge from the practice with a deep feeling of relief when we realize that we are not powerless in the face of our own and others’ suffering.
