Radiant Darkness: the Art of Nocturnal Light May 2, 2007

This exhibition explores the representation of light in darkness by artists from the 15th to the 17th century. In addition to examining the technical means and visual strategies implemented by artists to portray nocturnal light, the exhibition investigates the myriad symbolic, religious and political implications of the imagery.
