Radcliffe Bailey: Between Two Worlds January 2, 2010

This exhibition offers recent work reflecting Bailey's exploration of the historical and cultural journey across the Atlantic to the Americas. The pieces examine the ways African Americans re-integrated African cultural fragments into their new existence. Also explored are some of the familial ties, relationships with their environment, and expressive forms that have been such an important part of both the heritage of the African Diaspora, and Bailey's own personal experience.
