During the Scientific Revolution, Rabbi Moshe Chafetz of Venice wrote a Torah commentary which cites Galileo and Aristotle alongside Maimonides and Rashi. We'll explore his sometimes surprising commentary and life, as well as his book about the Second Temple in Jerusalem, and the poetic rendering of the 613 mitzvot in his son Gershom's book.
