9 N Virginia St
Richmond, Virginia

Named for Richmond’s most popular 19th century social club, the Quoit Club is Richmond’s premiere organization for people who enjoy experiencing history and architecture with a social twist. Traditionally, quoits was a game played during the nineteenth century with steel rings and metal spikes. Famous Richmond residents, such as Chief Justice John Marshall, would gather with friends "on Saturdays to eat, drink and otherwise make merry."

Today, the Quoit Club supports Historic Richmond Foundation’s mission to preserve the area’s unique heritage by promoting social and educational gatherings at historic sites. Events typically feature behind-the-scenes guided tours, as well as complimentary drinks and hors d’ouerves.
