Quilombolas CD Release Party January 30, 2009

A cross cultural musical celebration honoring Dr. King's Dream, Barack Obama's vision and the Breadth of the Diaspora.

The evening brings together artists whose backgrounds are diasporic, and promises to keep the crowd moving to a melding of Afro-Brazilian, Afro-American, Funk, Rock, and Hip Hop sounds, while casting a reflective light on history in the making. The night marks the long awaited launch of Quilombolas' multilingual album 'The Common Past.'
