Those carrying military identification will receive a free all-day ride and waterpark wristband. The free wristband will be issued only to the person presenting the identification, courtesy of the park.

“Quassy has graciously donated their pavilion space to OFR to help educate the public on how they may help our wounded heroes,” noted Bob O’Donoghue, Director of Special Projects for the Culpeper, Va.-based organization.

“The efforts of OFR are important and there is a need to raise awareness so people know they, too, may assist our wounded heroes and their families,” he added. “Joining forces with Quassy Amusement Park allows us to get the word out and also offer folks the chance to learn more about our military.”

O’Donoghue, who has been active with the organization for more than four years, coordinates OFR special projects from Rocky Hill , Conn.

Those donating to the event will receive a food coupon valid for a hamburger or hot dog, french fries and soda. A cash bar will also be available.

Quassy is also offering a discounted all-day ride and water pass for $12 (regular price up to $21) with a special flyer available through OFR. One flyer per person must be redeemed for the discount.
