Entry Fee

The entry fee is $30.00 at the Door.

Event Registration


Registration starts at 10:30 am and ends at
11:00 am sharp.

Late Registration



Players arriving late
after 11:00am for registration
may not be allowed to play in the event and under no circumstance
will any player be allowed into the event after 11:10am. If space
and staffing allow, players arriving late will be allowed to
register and will be a assed a $5.00 late fee in addition to the
entry fee.

Event Start
Times


From 11:00 am to 11:10am will be time for the completion of computer
data entry. The event will start
at 11:10 am sharp with deck registration. Due to the late start time
there will be no designated "lunch" round.





Prizes



First Place: Invitation to this Pro-Tour and Travel Award to the Pro-Tour
provided by Wizards of the Coast.

Top-8 Pins for the Players that make the cut.


Product prizes to be determined based on attendance.


Example of Prizes based on 72 players at
the event: (prizes will vary based on attendance)

  • 1st Place: Invitation and Travel
    Award to the Pro-Tour provided by Wizards of the
    Coast.

  • 2nd, 3rd & 4th Place : 36 Boosters
    each.


  • 5th to 8th Place: 18 Boosters each.

  • 9th to 14th Place: 6 boosters each.


  • Amateur Participation Prize: 3
    boosters each to the first 24 Amateurs to drop:

Thirty-eight players out of 72 receive
some prize in a 72 player event. Note: the Organizer reserves the right
to make changes to how boosters are paid out to increase the number
of players receiving prize and the amount product given away based on attendance.

The first 24 players who drop from the tournament and who who have amateur
status will receive 3 boosters of Magic:The Gathering.
Players with amateur status are those that have never played on a
Pro-Tour for Magic:The Gathering or won cash at a Grand
Prix.



Supplies Players will need for the Tournament.


All players will need a pen & paper,
card sleeves if needed, and appropriate counters or tokens for play. All
card sleeves must be non reflective, not have any artwork on them, and
they must not obscure the card face of the card.




Tournament Structure


The structure for this Qualifying event is modified-Swiss style,
with a top 8 Booster Draft and playing in single elimination for prizes and
the invite.


Tournament
Format



The format for this tournament is Time Spiral
Block Limited (Sealed Deck). For deck construction each
player will receive one Time Spiral Tournament
Pack and two Time Spiral
Boosters with which to construct
a deck to play in the tournament.

Advancement
in the Top-8


The top 8 players after the final Swiss round will advance
to a top 8 single-elimination finals. Players in the Top-8
will Draft: three Time Spiral booster each. They
will then construct their decks with the cards drafted.



K-Value and Rules Enforcement Level

The K-Value for all Qualifier tournaments is 32, and the
rules enforcement level (REL) for the tournament is level
three. For information on the tournament rules please refer

Invitations and Eligibility


Qualifier tournaments are open to all DCI members. If you do
not have a DCI membership one will be provided for you at
the tournament free of charge.




You must be in good standing. This means that you are not
banned by the DCI from competing in tournament play at the
time of the tournament. All players are assumed to be in
good standing unless informed by the DCI that you are not
so.



Players already holding an invitation to this Pro Tour are
prohibited from participating in the Qualifier. Players may
have earned invitations through cumulative past good
performance on the Pro Tour, winning a previous Qualifier or
Grand Prix tournament, or by being an invited DCI player.
