Summer is not over yet! Expect another epic New York dance party in August with Q-Tip at Irving Plaza for the next edition of his monthly party Offline. Q-Tip will keep the dance floor jumping all night with a supreme selection of funk, jazz, hip hop, salsa, and Latin records. Tickets are limited and will go quickly, so make sure to get yours here.

July's Offline managed to top June's debut party - amazing! A crowd of almost a thousand music lovers partied well into the wee hours of morning, burning the midnight oil with such notables as Steve Nash and Busta Rhymes joining in the revelry. The centerpiece was Q-Tip's specially designed DJ booth positioned in the middle of the floor. The night ended with the man himself descending from his command center for a final dance off.

Modern hip hop and R&B music can both arguably be divided into pre- and post-A Tribe Called Quest, and the musical efforts of its lead MC and producer Kamaal Ibn John Fareed - better known to the world as Q-Tip. ATCQ's 1990 debut, People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, introduced Q-Tip's iconoclast stance. In 1999, he dropped his first solo album Amplified, featuring the career-defining hip pop hits "Vivrant Thing" and "Breathe and Stop." Produced primarily by Q-Tip with plenty of live instrumentation and a love fixation, 2008's The Renaissance marks the return of one of the most recognizable voices and individualist figures in all of hip hop.
