Join us for a discussion on how national and local reform efforts will work together to transform our health care system. Hear about how the new health reform law will affect the country, and a how a new pilot project in the state could help change the health care payment system.

Keynote Speakers:
The National Perspective
Jonathan Cohn, journalist, health reform expert, and author of Sick: The Untold Story of America’s Health Care Crisis—and the People Who Pay the Price will discuss how new health reform law will affect the country and people in Washington state.

The Local Perspective
Steven Hill, chair of the Puget Sound Health Alliance and director of the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems will discuss an innovative “patient-centered medical home” payment reform project led by the state and the Puget Sound Health Alliance, and how it can be tested as a model to pay physicians for value not volume.

No Admission Fee:
Putting Health Reform Into Action is presented by the Puget Sound Health Alliance thanks to a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. It is open to the public at no charge.
