The Goose Hollow Inn is hosting a community party and launch party for Tracy Prince's new book
PORTLAND'S GOOSE HOLLOW

Portland folks are invited to come on down to the hollow and PUT A GOOSE ON IT!

There will be goose themed crafts to make, goose crafts to buy from neighborhood artists, live music, and activities for kids. A 28 minute video made in the 1970s about Goose Hollow will be on a continuous loop, and at 3:00 Bud Clark (who wrote the Foreward) and Tracy Prince will be introducing the new book on the neighborhood’s history, with over 200 historical images. Bud will talk about Goose Hollow in the 1930s-60s. And Tracy will present a slideshow of some of the most historically significant images—photos of Tanner Creek running in its banks, the original 1870s Oregonian article where the story began with the neighborhood's quirky name, and photos of the Chinese Vegetable Gardens that were part of Goose Hollow’s history from the 1870s to 1909. Tents will cover the Goose Hollow parking lot for this festive spring party.
