Pussy Pirates are four ladies from Ann Arbor and one from Chicago pushing the tough girl image. High hairdos punctuate their punk and spunk that brims with spirit and humor. Two lead singers growl about demons, jailbait and nuns, among other oddities. Surf guitar combined with jazz and punk to create a truly unique sound. One lady and one fella make up Aleks and the Drummer, a drums and farfisa duo. Heralded as of the most original acts to come out of Chicago in years, the eerie and hypnotic sounds of their live show are truly enchanting.
