punkkiCo: Abstractions & Transitions June 12, 2009

We are bringing our dance company, punkkiCo, to Dance Mission Theater with four world premiers and two repertory works in our first full-length evening. This event will interest music lovers and dance aficionados alike! Original music is by local composers, Albert Mathias, Joan Jeanrenaud and Keith Moore, plus Finnish jazz legend, Heikki Sarmanto.
Live music by David Hamano, Danielle Lawton and Stefanie Lawton will accompany one of the premiers choreographed by longtime company member, Kakuti Davis Lin.
This spring, punkkiCo completed a residency at Shotwell Studios with Footloose's Artists in Motion series that culminated in a weekend of sold out shows and positive response for the new dances developed for this run.
