The San Diego Craft Mafia and the Bad Girls of Craft would like to announce the first ever Punk Rock Craft Fair! Last summer at the very first Bad Girls of Craft meeting, the idea for the Punk Rock Craft Fair was born. At first it was just a craft fair - one that would be entirely made up of oddballs, artists, hipsters, and everyone else that doesn‘t quite fit in with the mainstream. After a little talking, it snowballed into an extravaganza of cool punk bands, crazy performances, and side show like acts through out the day.

The Punk Rock Craft Fair will be held on July 29th and 30th 2006 at UCSD’s Che Cafe at 9500 Gilman Dr, in La Jolla, CA. The event runs 10 am 6 pm, with musical performances at 1 and 4 pm each day. Participants can look forward to seeing a 15 foot sock monkey, mystics, music, and an amazing showing of local San Diego talent including p-starr products, Sappy Moose Tree, Asta Arts, boygirlparty, and Made by Tess. Keep checking back on the website for an official schedule of what bands and talented people will be performing and vending!

We are accepting applications until June 22nd for vendors, performers, and musicians. If you, or anyone you know is interested in participating, please fill out an application that can be found on the website. If you are from out of town, but still want to participate, we are looking for donations for our swag bags and door prizes. Anybody who donates will be put in the special place in the zine that will accompany the Punk Rock Craft Fair.
