Bicycling is top of mind in the Richmond region: Preparations are underway for the UCI Road World Championships in 2015. The Virginia Capital Trail, a multi-million dollar paved route, is being built between Richmond and Williamsburg.
But safety and accessibility issues spark controversy. How friendly is Richmond for bicyclists? Should the region do more to promote biking?
