Located in the heart of Historic Fredericksburg, visitors to Historic Kenmore can enjoy the Bissell gallery, featuring portraits and furniture from the Kenmore collection, displays of artifacts, and a diorama of Fredericksburg as it would have appeared in the mid 19th century. The Georgian mansion was built in the 1770s by Fielding and Betty Washington Lewis, George Washington's sister. Famous for its ornate plasterwork ceilings, Kenmore is in the final stages of a meticulous and historically accurate restoration.
