Cleveland's Charter Review Commission, tackling issues such as a possible reduction in the number of City Council members, has planned three public forums this month to solicit input.

The two-hour meetings, each beginning at 6:30 p.m., are scheduled for:

-- Wednesday, June 18, at Cuyahoga Community College's metro campus, 2900 Community College Ave., in room No. 10 at the Campus Center Building.

-- Tuesday, June 24, at Gunning Recreation Center, 16700 Puritas Ave.

-- Thursday, June 26, at Harvard Community Service Center, 18240 Harvard Ave.

The commission, made up of 15 public officials and city residents, has until Aug. 1 to recommend changes to the charter. Council members will decide which, if any, proposals to place before city voters on the Nov. 4 ballot.

Although the commission has met weekly on Thursday mornings, "little commentary has been received from private citizens," according to a statement from the council.
