PSYCHOTIC AND EROTIC: RARE FILMS BY TINTO BRASS
Sept 24 & 28
Though best known for his derriere-obsessed erotica, Italian filmmaker Tinto Brass’ earliest films are hallucinatory, experimental oddities. Though they always contain sexy undertones, these early works show a more avant-garde side of this unique artist. Both works will be presented in new, uncensored digital transfers, supervised by the director.

The Howl is a filled with bizarre imagery, visual jokes and pre-punk rock music. A young bride escapes her wedding ceremony with a stranger and together they set off on an epic journey. They encounter talking animals and mournful exhibitionists, converse with a rock, journey through a psychedelic hotel and escape from naked cannibals living in a tree. (1969, 93 min, digital video)
