The first-ever National Train Day is on its way, and there’s never been a better time to celebrate. The Friends of History at PSU (FOH) along with the Oregon Lincoln Bicentennial Commission (OLBC) will join NARP and Amtrak in celebrating the first annual National Train Day with a free program "Abraham Lincoln, His Legacy to Oregon, and his Relationship with U.S. Railroads: A Program for National Train Day."

This program is part of the educational programs the Friends of History at PSU is co-sponsoring with the OLBC during the year leading up to the national celebration of the 200th Anniversary of Lincoln's Birthday. The program will explore the strong "link" between Abraham Lincoln and the foundation of America's Railways, using video, rare photographs, historical publications and literature.
