Prokofiev Piano Sonatas December 5, 2011

Nine graduate pianists, winners of a special competition, perform Prokofiev's complete sonatas in two evenings to celebrate a new edition of the music scores, prepared by Boris Berman. This first recital presents the Sonata No. 1 in F minor, Op. 1; No. 2 in D minor, Op. 14; No. 5 in C major; No. 9 in C major, Op. 103; and No. 4 in C minor, Op. 29.
