Multimedia Gallery project: will hold an opening reception on Saturday June 10th to launch their next exhibition project: Club27. This show will offer both an artistic and musical perspective on the lives of some of the most influential contemporary musicians, all of whom eerily met their deaths at the age of 27.

The list begins with Robert Johnson, a Mississippi Bluesman, who died in 1938 and includes, amongst others, Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain. Also included will be a special 12’ x 8’ mural dedicated to celebrated contemporary artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Artist David Hollier, who has shown across the United States and is a member of the ‘Apart’ artist collective of Notting Hill, London, draws upon his background in graphic design and the Fine Arts degree obtained from London’s prestigious Newcastle University to pay an effective tribute to these inspirational musicians and their exceptional artistry.

The opening reception will be held from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., and will feature live performances by Latin Funk and Rock band Gadget Car and Orange County Alternative band Afterfall, along with music by turntablist extraordinaire Vinyl Ritchie, who will pay homage to those musicians with a set inspired by this show.
