Shelby Lee Adams will present the subject of his life's work, the documentation through portraiture of Appalachia's traditional rural communities. Adams is a current recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship and has published several monographs including, most recently, Appalachian Lives. Adams will lead a workshop on Environmental Portraiture.
