Professional Basketball Tryouts Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 3pm

Ready to play professional basketball? Champion Sports and Entertainment bring you the opportunity! The New Jersey Lighting (men’s professional basketball team) and New Jersey Thunder (women’s professional basketball team) are entering into their second year of operations and need talented players to compete for a championship. With the exciting news of one of our men’s players entering this past years NBA draft, the signing of new head coach Dallas A. Comegys (a former NBA player himself) and the recent news of an exhibition game at the Prudential Center which will showcase the NJ Lighting playing against the Newark Patrons prior to the NJ Nets vs. Boston Celtics game October 13, 2009, and with more big news to follow, the teams are already moving in the right direction! Now the search is on for our championship team! Players who attend will be tested in all basketball related drills and should bring with them proper workout attire. There will be a $50 tryout fee to all men who tryout for the NJ Lightning and a $25 tryout fee for all women who tryout for the Thunder. The tryout will take place at our new tryout facility: The Poland Springs Arena at the Ritacco center, located at 1245 Old Freehold Rd, Toms River, NJ 08753.
