Private Lies-The Stage Play July 17, 2010

Private Lies centers around two couples, Jeffery, a prominent lawyer and his newly wedded wife, Barbara, who is a stay-at-home mom, as well as Sam, a medical doctor and Rose, a self-proclaimed socialite.

Jeffery, having found the jewel he longed for in Barbara, fell in love, got married and started a family with the expectation to live happily ever after, or so they thought. The story begins after the death of their son with the couple growing apart. Unable to deal with the unfolding situation, Jeffery builds up a wall against his wife, lashing out at her as their lives start to fall apart.

Meanwhile, Sam and Rose, currently living the blissful life of love and happiness, come along to commiserate with the couple in their time of need. As Barbara comes to terms with Jeffery's actions, Rose shows her support, while Sam reasons with Jeffery to deal with the situation at hand.

But somewhere in between all the mediation and consolation, fireworks and bombs were ignited. As the tables begin to turn, what was all once innocent is now complicated as all the secrets, lies, and betrayals come out in the open. When the situation explodes to a crescendo of unbelievable proportion, the ashes left behind are incomprehensible.
