While multiples were once seen as secondary to original works of art, modern scholars have recognized prints' fertile possibilities for experimentation, collaboration and distribution. Artists can adapt their aesthetic concerns to a specific technical process, or extend that technique, layering and combining processes or challenging prior limits of media and size, as seen in this collection.
