Eastern Music Festival and Print Works Bistro are proud to introduce a new series of monthly events held the first Friday of every month beginning in May 2010. Extend your first Friday nightlife year-long with cool EMFjazz&blues at the vibrant Print Works Bistro adjacent to the eco-friendly and stylish Proximity Hotel. Join us each month from 10pm – 12:30am for live music while you dine and drink late night. The series kicks off on Friday, May 7 featuring Ray “Sweet Daddy” Burnett and Rob Massengale. This event is in collaboration with Piedmont Blues Preservation Society.

Ray "Sweet Daddy" Burnette is a Greensboro-based guitarist/ vocalist that has been performing for over forty years. Leader of "Sophisticated Blues" for over ten years and guitarist for the show band "Black & Blue" for forty years. Ray's repertoire covers a variety of blues styles, jazz, bossa nova, R&B, and easy listening. A seasoned entertainer with a love of spreading joy through music. www.myspace.com/swtdaddyo528

Greensboro native Rob Massengale (electric bass and upright bass) followed in the footsteps of his father, the well-known bandleader Burt Massengale. Rob has been playing professionally since 1968 and has performed with various artists, such as The Drifters, The Coasters, The Platters, Lou Christy, Penguins, and Percy Sledge, to name a few. www.robmassengale.com
