Born in rural Jamaica as Fitz Albert Cotterell, nicknamed Junior Ranking by his mother and called Slim Brown in his teens, President Brown performs socially conscious reggae. Native Elements is one of the hardest working groups on the local reggae scene, having played to dancing throngs from San Francisco's Reggae in the Park to Humboldt County's Reggae on the River.
