Colorado artist Derek Vincent Smith, the innovative electronic music producer behind Pretty Lights, is known for producing danceable electronic beats mixed with live drum sounds. Pretty Lights is currently previewing material from its forthcoming album on the "Illumination Tour," which begins in their hometown. Says Smith of the new sound, "It's prolific, conceptual, consistent, yet extremely diverse, and a real substantial piece of music you can sink your teeth into," and adds the new material is all originally composed samples, including some self-made vinyl.
