The perfect start to a week of activities celebrating our armed forces past, present and future, the Preston Military Show at Fulwood Barracks on Saturday 20th June 2009 promises something for all ages - a feast of military pageantry and power. Marching bands, military vehicles (including Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank) and lots of hands-on fun activities for young and old alike. Admission is FREE. Car parking is only available on the barracks for people displaying disabled parking permits. Activities start at 2.30pm (last entry 5.15pm). A military Beating Retreat and Sunset Ceremony begins at 5.30pm, to which all are welcome. This is HQ 42 (North West) Brigade's official Armed Forces Day event.
