The potato first popped up in the mountainous regions of Peru, but has progressed all over the globe as a food staple and culinary treasure. To honor this plant's role in nourishing and sustaining people the world over, the U.S. Botanic Garden and The Potato Museum are celebrating this fabulous food in all its spud-tacular splendor! Sip on a potato beverage and nosh on regionally inspired potato cuisine from places like Peru, Thailand and the United States, and roam through the various rooms of the Garden.
