POST MODERN MAN
(David & Rob)
Tickets $18.00
where’s George?

Before there was Modern Man (possibly before there was Cro Magnon Man) the two humans known as David Buskin and Rob Carlson were known far and wide (although not far and wide enough for some) as singer/songwriters of note (and word). Now finding themselves occasionally Georgeless, the two have teamed up to present an evening of song and comedy which will not suck.
Modern Man fans can rest assured that David and Rob will still offer up such questionable masterpieces as “Jews Don’t Camp,” “Folk Music in the Nude,” “God Loves the Irish,” “Hotline,” “Abdul,” “Bumper Huntin’” and many more… you know, the usual Modern Man crap plus a couple new funnies. But wait, there’s more! POST MODERN MAN will also feature Rob and David’s sensitive and artistic side (there is one) with songs from Rob’s new album-in-progress and classic Buskin tunes. And David will be featured on piano as well as guitar… how cool is that?
So come on out and be a witness to history as POST MODERN MAN emerges from the primordial ooze. It’s going to be evolutionary!
DAVID BUSKIN – Singer, songwriter, performer, author, playwright, jingle composer (Clio Award ), girls’ basketball coach – it’s amazing how many things one person can try to avoid honest work. Some of the artists who have recorded his songs: Astrud Gilberto, Judy Collins, Peter, Paul & Mary, Johnny Mathis, Tom Rush, Roberta Flack, Dixie Carter, Tracy Nelson and “some guys from Toto and the drummer from Kiss” ( ??!? ) Moms like you choose Jif. Really.
ROB CARLSON – Like Buskin a Brown graduate ( it was easier to get in then ), Rob Carlson has pretty much thrown away a decent education to do stuff like this. Also a performing and recording veteran, for years he was a regular contributor to The American Comedy Network, a national radio comedy syndicator, where his barbed vignettes were sung by his alter ego “Ramblin’ Bob” ( “Sounds like Dylan but makes sense.” ).
