Portsmouth Cocktail Competition June 7, 2009

The much anticipated signature cocktail event enters its 3rd year this year.

Multiple downtown restaurants will compete for the title of Best Signature Cocktail of Portsmouth. This year's event will feature a cocktail pairing that will highlight both food and drink menus. The Next Food Network Star and resident of neighboring Massachusetts, Tommy Grella will judge the best paired cocktail among the participants.

The event is a great way to meet new people and try new restaurants as attendees visit each restaurant during the tasting. The event draws a mature crowd of "cocktail hoppers" says event producer Lisa Knight. It's a great networking event and the passes are an provide an inexpensive night out.

Participants Include: Riverwatch @Sheraton Harborside, Blue Mermaid Island Grill, Hilton Garden Inn, McMenemy's, Brazo, Popovers On The Square, Rudi's Portsmouth and Ri Ra Irish pub.

Ri Ra Irish pub will be the final stop of the upscale cocktail crawl. The new downtown hot spot will host the wrap party for the event. Attendees will enjoy live music, goodie bags and a chance to vote for their favorite "Signature Cocktail".
