Beginning with Cicero and his achievement as one of the greatest orators and prose writers of Republican Rome, the course will then move to Renaissance Florence, Rome and Venice, with a study of the life and careers of Raphael and Titian. The course will conclude with life and career of Domenico Scarlatti in Naples and Rome. Each personality and their achievement will be situated firmly within the differing societies in which they lived. Details of this event may be subject to change.
